What is www.ideezstudio.com (IDeez Studio) ?

IDeez Studio is a mixing studio based in Brussels (Belgium) that provides professional online mixing and mastering in pop and hip-hop music  worldwide. Affordable prices, quick turnaround times and professionalism are the key of our mixing services.

What does IDeez Studio provide as services ?

Our services are separated in two sections, created to provide our customers the best mixing and mastering services online.

Main services:

  • Mixing: Our online mixing service will transform your multi-tracks project into a clean mix. This allows you to get your song ready for the mastering process (not included!)
  • Mastering : Allows our customers to get a finished mix mastered by a professional. The project will be ready to be uploaded on every streaming platform.
  • Mixing & Mastering : Our online mixing and mastering service will transform your multi-tracks project into a clean mix. It is then mastered by a professional and ready to be uploaded on every streaming platform.

Secondary services:

  • Manual tuning: Any melodic instruments (including vocals, trumpets, monophonic synths, etc,…) is manually tuned by a professional sound engineer.
  • Radio editing: Everything considered as vulgar is (musically) removed from the song to let the project be broadcasted on every radio stations of the world
  • Rush service: This service will decrease the turnaround time by 1 to 2 day(s).
  • Stem Export : Allows the customers to receive each mixed stem when the mixing process is done.

What is the difference between mixing and mastering ?

Understanding the difference between mixing and mastering is a priority to work with professional sound engineers, because the processes are extremely different and their purposes as well.

Mixing is the fact to balance each recorded track between each other. This process can include the fact to adjust the volumes and the faders, to boost or remove some frequencies (EQ) on some tracks, to filter some sources or even to compress more or less certain audio sources to make your song sound as one and unique piece of music. The result of a mixing process must be something that sound pleasant and well-balanced. This new piece of audio created with all the balanced, filtered and adjusted tracks leads us to the next process which is the mastering.

Mastering is the process that allows the sound engineer to enhance the mixing even more and to put it at normalized values (which is extremely important if you want to release a song or an album/EP on streaming platforms and/or for CD’s). The mastering process is actually the very last step in the music production chain before being able to release it everywhere.

I need some advices about mixing and mastering, can I contact you ?

Of course, you can! Our priority is to help, not to sell! So if you have any questions about mixing, mastering, production, recording or anything in the musical field, you can contact us through our contact form or at contact@ideezstudio.com

You can also learn a lot about mixing, mastering, recording and music production on our blog or on IDeez’ YouTube channel.

In which genre does IDeez Studio work in ?

We work in all genres of music. From hip-hop music to country music, our professional sound engineer has experience in every musical genre. However, our engineer grew up with hip-hop and pop music, and his experience was made in these 2 genres. Around 95% of the music we mix and master is hip-hop and pop music.

Whatever the genre we work on, having all of our customers 100% satisfied (yep!) is our main goal, and we work everyday to reach this goal.

What is the process ?

Once the track(s) are sent and the payment done, we download your audio track(s) and start to work within 48 hours. The first thing the sound engineer does is to listen to the rough mix (if there is one) before starting to work on any sort of mixing and/or mastering. Then, by using both analogue and digital equipment, we start to work on your project and do our best to create the perfect end-product for each customer. Our software tools are the best in the music production industry (Waves, Ozone, Soundtoys, FabFilter,…). Our analogue gear helps to add a nice color to the sound. Once the process is finished, we send a first version to the customer (in WAV, to allow each customer to enjoy a full-quality listening). If any changes or modifications are needed, we will make them as soon as we can and will send back a new version once the modifications are done. Once you are 100% satisfied of the product we sent, we start to work on the mastering process.

The final version is sent in WAV and mp3 through a Google Drive link shared between you and us.

We don’t send the mixed stems unless you purchase a stem export option.

What will I receive at the end of the process ?

What you will receive from us is a file in WAV and mp3 of your mixed and/or mastered song. If requested and possible for us, we can send the final file in any file type you wish.

Each final version of your mixed and mastered project is sent through a personal Google Drive link shared between you and us.

Is the equipment used analog or digital ?

Both! We are conviced that using both analog and digital equipment for our mixing and mastering services is the best way to provide all our customers the best mixing and mastering quality.

Can I receive the mixed stems after the mixing process ?

Sending the mixed stems after the mixing process is not included in our mixing and mastering services. But don’t leave so quick! With our stem export option, you will receive a folder with all the mixed stems (that go through the mastering processing if the services is a mixing + mastering service).

You can also ask for groups of stems (before starting the process).

To give us more informations about the details of your request, you can contact us at contact@ideezstudio.com

What types of payments do you accept ?

Most of major payments are accepted, including Credit or Debit card and PayPal.

If you struggle to proceed to payment, please contact us by informing us of your issue and we will proceed to a manual transaction.

To avoid any sort of delay for your project, the payment is considered as completed as soon as you send us an email informing us that you haven’t been able to proceed to payment.

When entered and validated with the Apply Coupon button, the coupon will automatically be applied to your total.

What are secondary services ?

Our secondary services are smaller services that will allow you to pull out the best from your project. From tuning some vocals manually to editing a song to be played on radio stations, we’re ready to do everything you wish to make you 100% happy of the final result. The options available with our main services are the equivalent of our secondary services, but are more affordable when you purchase them as options.

Why can I choose to purchase more secondary services as options ?

When you’re on the product page of one of our secondary services, you will see a box where you are able to choose some options. It will simply allow you to save money if you need more than one secondary service.

What are the typical turnaround times ?

For a mastering service, the time needed to deliver the first version is about 1-2 business days.

For a mixing service, the time needed to deliver the first version is about 3-4 days for a basic mixing and about 5-6 days for a full mixing.

For our mixing + mastering services, you can refer to the turnaround times of our mixing service.

Please keep in mind that our turnaround times always depend of the workload your project(s) asks our professional sound engineer. If, by receiving and downloading your audio track(s), we make an estimation that goes above the announced turnaround time, we directly send you an email to inform you that the turnaround time of our mixing and/ mastering service will be longer than usual.

To avoid any sort of misunderstanding, never hesitate to send an email to contact@ideezstudio.com to inform us of a certain dead line or release date.

Our rush service will probably help you if you need an extremely fast turnaround time.

I need my project mixed and mastered really fast, what can I do ?

No worries, we got you covered. With our rush service, the turnaround time will decrease by 1 to 2 days. With this rush service, the typical turnaround times will be:

From 1 to 2 business days for a basic mixing service and from 2 to 3 business days for a full mixing service (same figures for a mixing + mastering service, adding one day for the mastering)

1 day for a mastering service.

It is always preferable and more productive to get more informations on your motivations to take a rush service. Please reach us at contact@ideezstudio.com to give us more informations about your projects.

How do I export my track(s) ?

If you use and record on Pro Tools, LUNA, Logic or GarageBand, you can simply export the session (whether the export is for mixing or mastering). Please make sure, if you operate this way, that ALL the audio files are in the folder you send.

The second way is to export each audio track separately. If you operate this way, make sure to respect the number of channels (mono or stereo), to make one export by element and to remove any sort of processing (EQ, compressors or any sort of effects). If you have any MIDI tracks in your projects, please commit them into audio, because we cannot guarantee that we use the same VSTs.

If you have any issues to export your tracks, contact us or reach us at contact@ideezstudio.com

How can I send my track(s) ?

If you already purchased one of our mixing and mastering services, you normally received an email in your inbox that allows you to send your tracks. If you purchased one of our mixing and mastering and that you didn’t receive the confirmation email for an unknown problem, you can send everything right here and send your track(s) to contact@ideezstudio.com

If you didn’t purchase any of our mixing and mastering services or secondary services, it is preferable to proceed to payment before sending your track(s).

Note : We are here to help! If you want us to simply give you a feedback on a mixing or a mastering that you made by yourself, contact us and we’ll be extremely happy to help!

I lost my confirmation email, how can I send my track(s) ?

We got you covered! Click here and send your track(s) to contact@ideezstudio.com
